What this site is
budapest.boats is an informational website: an independent editorial guide to Danube river cruises in Budapest. We are not a cruise operator, a ticket seller, or the official website of any operator, attraction or booking platform. Where our pages say “official site”, they mean the operator’s own website, never ours. More about who we are is on the about page.
Affiliate disclosure
Booking links on this site — the ones using our /go/ paths — are affiliate links that redirect (via a 302 redirect) to GetYourGuide with our partner ID attached. If you book after clicking one, we earn a commission. This costs you nothing: the price you pay is the same as if you had gone to GetYourGuide directly. Commissions fund the site; they do not buy coverage or rankings.
Accuracy of information
We work hard to keep facts current: prices, hours and schedules are taken from official operator and platform sources as of the “last checked” date shown on each page. But this is Budapest’s river, not a database — prices drift, docks move, boats go into maintenance, and lighting schedules change with the season. So:
- Treat every price as “from €X”, not a quote.
- Verify departure times, prices and availability on the operator’s or platform’s own site before you travel.
- If you find an error, tell us via the contact page and we’ll fix it fast.
Third-party services and liability
Every cruise, bath, tour or ticket you book through links on this site is a contract between you and the third-party provider (the booking platform and/or the operator), governed by their terms. We are not a party to that contract. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for the performance, cancellation, quality or safety of third-party services, or for losses arising from decisions made on the basis of information on this site. Intellectual property
The text on budapest.boats is our own work and is protected by copyright. You’re welcome to quote short excerpts with a link back; republishing whole pages is not okay. Photographs are used under their respective licenses and credited on our image credits page; rights to those images remain with their creators.

We link out to operators’ official sites and to booking platforms where it genuinely helps you. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, accuracy or practices. An outbound link is a pointer, not an endorsement of everything on the destination.
Changes and governing spirit
We may update these terms as the site evolves; the date at the top of this page tells you when we last did. These terms are meant to be read as what they plainly say.
